Taunton Mass. – School needs Psychological Evualation

Filed under: news, Soapbox — seniorgeek @ 8:09 pm

In Taunton Mass., a 8-year-old boy was sent home from school and ordered to undergo a psychological evaluation after he was asked to make a Christmas drawing and sketched a stick figure of Jesus on a cross. What is happening in our schools? This is just unbelievable. Christmas is the celebrated day for the birth of Jesus and I can easily see how a boy would draw a picture of Jesus on a cross to represent a beginning and and end to the life of Jesus on earth. A psychological evaluation? It is the school and teachers that need the evaluation not the students!

  1. Well, Jesus’ death was violent and horrible because it was the payment for sin!!! – our sins. And, it is a reminder of Christmas, because Jesus was sent to us as a gift from God – born to ultimately pay that price for us – for our redemption. I would say that the child is a very perceptive person, who understands the immense love of God for us and he definitely does not need counseling – obviously he already has the Holy Spirit as his counselor.
